Our Treasured Flowers 5-step Process
Please send your bouquet to us the day after your event. Instructions on how to send the bouquet can be found under our FAQs section.

Photography ~ Once we receive your flowers we will photograph them and then dismantle the arrangement. If there were any accessories added to the flowers (shells pearls, driftwood etc) we'll also note these down and can work these into the final design. A deposit of $100 is payable at this stage.

Preservation ~ We start the preservation process on receipt of the flowers. This process can take up to two months depending on the type of flowers/foliage.

Product & Frame Selection. We email you photos of the dried flowers, and work with you to choose which size and style arrangement, and frame best suits your flowers.

Painting ~ Colour changes do occur with some flowers so we hand paint the flowers to reduce the effects of this and long term fading. Given the flowers are dried, they will not be the same colour as they were when they were fresh (but we think they look even better!)

Delivery ~ We mount the flowers in your selected frame and style. Following the completion of your picture and payment of the final invoice we will organise delivery, for Auckland we use a delivery service who will hand deliver for us. For the rest of NZ we use NZ Couriers. See the price list for these costs.
We are Rob and Courtenay, the team behind Treasured Flowers
Based in Kerikeri in the beautiful Bay of Islands, our framing and flower studio is located on the family orchard in a converted barn overlooking orange and mandarin trees.
Rob, an ex boat builder, custom builds all of our frames and Courtenay, who is also a jeweller, preserves and displays the flowers and organises the rest. With the help of our new wee studio assistant our baby girl Eden, who arrived in early 2021.
Treasured Flowers has been preserving special memories for over 15 years, and we were honoured to take over the techniques and knowledge a few years ago.
